36 dead, 40 injured as twin explosion rocks Istanbul's airport

Two explosions and gunfire have rocked Istanbul’s Ataturk main international airport, leaving more than 40 people reportedly injured.  Ataturk airport Reuters news agency quoting a Turkish official saying, two suicide bombers blew themselves up. Four armed men were reportedly seen running away from the terminal building after the explosions, according to Turkey’s NTV channel. Istanbul governor has revealed that at least 28 are reported dead from the suicide attack, Reuters reports. However, the UK Guardian has reported that the causality figure has risen to 36. Police have however opened fire to neutralise the suspects at an entry point as witnesses reported hearing gunshots
